A NEW CD BASED TRAINING COURSE


Our new training CD 'An Introduction to Dangerous Goods' gives you the leading edge to get a basic knowledge of dangerous goods in approximately half-an-hour.

Who needs this CD?

The CD is intended to be shown to staff at all levels - director, manager, packer, production director, personnel manager, delivery driver, laboratory technician, supervisor, warehouse staff. In fact anyone who in any way is involved with dangerous goods.

It introduces you to the regulations governing the safe transport of dangerous goods by air, road and sea. It is designed for anyone whether they be management or staff who should be aware of this subject and have an understanding of their responsibilities. It can, for example, be part of an induction course. Awareness of your responsibilities for dangerous goods is a legal requirement.

The CD takes about 30 minutes to complete, and includes a multiple choice test. It can be run on any PC with a sound card and speakers.

Certification

The training programme concludes with a multiple-choice test completed interactively.
When a pass is achieved in the test, a unique number is generated which changes each time the test is passed. This number can be verified by CDMT Ltd. The programme also generates a personalised confirmation of the pass.

Technical Specification

The programme will run on any IBM compatible PC which uses a Microsoft Windows Operating System from NT4/Windows '95 through to Windows XP.

Minimum requirements are
a Pentium II Processor, at least 64mb RAM and a 4x CD-Rom drive.

The computer needs a compatible graphics card running at a minimum resolution of 800x600 at 16bit colour or greater, and a compatible sound card with speakers. Headphones and a printer are optional.

The CD does not install to the host computer and is therefore suitable for use on corporate networks.

CD Media Training will be producing further CDs in the series and will be covering subjects including infectious substances, radioactive materials, explosives, live animals as well as the general regulations covering all classes of dangerous goods by air, sea and road.
